These kicks were born at an open market in Freetown, Sierra Leone, when K1X’s designer was struck by the traditional Ankara fabrics sold amongst the stalls. These textiles were handpicked on the spot and fashioned into 330 handmade pairs of K1X sneakers. But just in case you aren’t yet convinced of their awesomeness, K1X utilizes fair trade practices, and a portion of its proceeds benefit the The Sierra di Lion Charity Trust Fund.
