This handmade glossy stoneware Egg Bird Feeder can attract a bevy of wild birds right to your backyard. Food is dispensed from the egg onto its base—inviting different avian species to feed. Its modern, egg-shaped design is suspended by a vinyl-coated wire while two aluminum poles suspend the aluminum base in the center of the egg’s bottom opening. Awarded one of Fortune Magazine’s 25 Best Products of 2004, this bird feeder is equipped for weather extremes, holds ten cups of food, and is Gray Squirrel-proof.
Egg: H 8" W 6". Hanging wire: L 2". To fill, turn upside down, take out pin in middle of base, remove poles and dish and fill. Aluminum base, poles and vinyl coated hanging wire are rust resistant. Base has 4 drainage holes to prevent water accumulation in food. Wipe stoneware and aluminum surfaces with damp cloth. Clean once a month with a 10% bleach to water solution. Allow solution to set on feeder for 10 min, drain off solution and rinse thoroughly. Allow feeder to completely dry before refilling. If feeder gets moldy, scrub it thoroughly with the 10% bleach to water solution using stiff brush. If you live in an area that freezes make sure interior stays dry during critical times when it freezes and thaws. Damage to egg may occur during freeze/thaw cycles if interior is wet.
