The bottom of this Alien Workshop deck features contrasting color blocks in Warhol’s signature silk-screened motif. Here, Leonardo da Vinci’s enigmatic Mona Lisa takes on a new meaning with Warhol’s use of color and repetition. The name of a more contemporary icon, celebrity pro-skater Rob Dyrdek, is also featured. The board’s more subtle top design is a natural wood veneer with mock “rolled” black paint over a hot pink screen-print of a large-scale Warhol signature.
This deck is the result of a collaboration between Alien Workshop and The Andy Warhol Foundation. The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts was established in 1987. In accordance with Andy Warhol’s will, its mission is the advancement of the visual arts. Includes no trucks or wheels.
