Images d'Orient combines a rich heritage of traditional Mediterranean crafts with modern materials and manufacturing methods, and a contemporary color palette. This durable silicon trivet is inspired by the flooring in Mediterranean residencies of the 1930s and 1940s. Covered with ceramic tiles of various patterns, the floors were unrivalled in their range of colors, arabesque motifs, and graphics. Placed together, the tiles formed a gigantic image, which led to their nickname of sejjadeh or carpet.
Heat resistant up to 250 C / 480 F. Shatterproof.
Images d'Orient was founded in 2000 by brother-sister team Charbel Raphaël and Peggy Raphaël Dabar after a trip to their home country of Lebanon. The company’s collection of housewares honors the Mediterranean’s cultural heritage and visual arts.
