When it opened in 1947, the MEPRA factory in Northern Italy produced flatware exclusively from the region’s raw aluminum and brass. A switch to 18/10 stainless steel inspired further experimentation with materials, like durable, heat-resistant silicone—now considered an essential in most kitchens. An ode to the material, the Paris Trivet withstands heavy hot dish traffic and mimics a street cover found along Paris’ famed thoroughfare, Boulevard Saint-Germain.
Anti-slip. Heat-resistant to 600°F. Use as a ladle rest, coaster, iron holder, pot holder, and soap dish.
Backed by three generations of Italian tradition, MEPRA takes each piece from design to production in its Northern Italian factory. The company has earned numerous awards and the opportunity to collaborate with acclaimed designers like the late Angelo Mangiarotti.
