This design is to the umbrella what the motorcar was to the carriage, that is, a revolutionary step forward. Fed up with the inherently flimsy design of standard umbrellas, designer Greig Brebner went back to the drawing board to come up with an innovative radial tensioning system and telescoping ribs. The enlarged canopy of the Blunt XL Umbrella will provide effective shelter even in stormy conditions way beyond the capability of any conventional umbrella. And its blunt tips means no more eye-poking points.
Features double struts to redirect tension onto telescopic floating ribs. A Blunt is opened by sliding the advanced push/pull runner upwards. This action is similar to a conventional umbrella. Measurements listed pertain to the umbrella when open. Two-stage collapsible design.
