Media 0 for listing Taravosky #6 - Eastern Helmet

Description

The helmet is iron, with a shape close to hemispherical, a small nosepiece, and small iron pads attached on hinges. The barmica is absent. The dome of the helmet is riveted from various sized rectangular and trapezoidal plates.

The height is 13.5 cm and the diameter at the base is 19.5 cm. The helmet was found in the feet of the buried man. Р. D. Goldina wrote about its similarity to the Kammhelm class helmet from Concepst (Moldavia), but this analogy can hardly be called too close, given the height of the dome and the presence of a crest on the latter.
