The 3D QR Code Generator creates an actual 3D QR code in your game level.

Steps:

Go to a free website such as QR Code Generator:

You put in a URL and then they give you a QR code image.

Take the image and import it into your content browswer somewhere.

Then use this plugin to place a 3D version of the QR code in your level.

You can pick a static mesh(usually a cube) that represents the cells of your QR code.

The cell meshes are instanced static meshes, so performance will be very good.

You can change the material of the cells also.

If the materials and environment aren't too extreme - smart phones should be able to scan the QR code successfully when you are in the level.

Note: Since this plugin is using instanced static meshes, there could be a short delay in time when first placing the Blueprint into the level (or moving it around a lot).
