Description

It is said to be the longest stone curved railway bridge, not only in Greece but in the Balkans too. Not sure if that’s true but Manari’s Bridge is certainly one of the most beautiful. Its length is about 117 m and has 8 arches and a maximum height of 22m. The bridge was designed by the French engineer A.Cotteland for the “Société Anonyme Internationale de Construction et d’Entreprises de travaux publiques” and it was constructed between the years 1891-96. Is now part of an abandoned railway line and looking great although has hardly seen any maintenance since it’s construction.
