Description

Necroid worm, a snake like Monster-character for Unreal 4.26 and up.

This asset is part of Necroid series that mostly targets horror-gore style monsters with fangs over whole body.

Main features of BP and character play:

  • Can move on ground, or can fly/swim. Can do double jump and power jump in ground mode. Fly mode contains speed boost instead of jump. Also character checks ground and puts itselft to angle of ground to follow slope of ground.

  • Physically dynamic in game: Can be "relaxed" to fully become physically dynamic or can be "stiffen" to keep more locomotion. Player can change relax rate in game play please see videos or test the demo below.

  • Pose keeping: Bp tries to keep bones on the current global positions. Overrides gravity and local rotations. Allows character to do snake or worm style movements. This effect also respect collisions and player can change strength of this effect in game play. please see videos or test the demo below.

  • Parasitism: necroid worm can target and mount to mannequin. its can be inside or outside of mannequin body. in both situations player takes control of mannequin. in body version is more suitable for attack or horror-gore usages. (a "mouth attack" animation for mannequin is provided)

  • Live reshaping: this is a experimental feature and overrides some other features if enabled. This effect allows to worm do body changes like "swallow bulge" or "growing from youngling". this feature experimental and added mostly for more alternative usages like test or learnin purposes.

  • In game feedback with power bars for both "relax" and "pose keeping" features. asset also comes with simple main menu.

Fictional backstory:

in old days, there was only ancestors of Necrophages. They (necroids) was widely used as pets and helpers by necromancers. Their main purpose was disposing corrupted test subjects like melted zombies or rotten gutmans. Continuously feeding necroids with that kind of “food”, caused some changes in time and Necroids started to mutate and metamorphosis in many chaotic ways...

No one knows how and when this situation too place. Necroids become one of the main research subjects for some necromancers. But we know nowadays, if you see a necromancer that releases a, "worm like thing", you should run away as far as possible because that "worm thing" will come after you to the enter your body and eat you from inside. But its not the end. Even if you die, its continues to eat your corpse and also merges with you until fully transforming you into a necrophage.
