This aérotrain was among the French projects leading to provide high speed trains to the French Railways in the 1960-1970. It never reached the green light for production, the TGV (Train à Grande Vitesse) being chosen instead. The machine itself has been destroyed by a fire much later.

I have a soft spot for this machine, as I saw its ramp along the highways every sumer in the late 70’s, before it beeing partially dismantled.
