5 Mindset Tips to Get you Exercising

Improve your mindset towards exercise by following these easy tips.


Sometimes (often?) we don’t feel like working out. We make up excuses, and we potter around until it’s too late. We don’t commit to it. 


Look, everyone has days like this. But here are some quick tips to help:


  • Don’t skip the workouts. Don’t listen to yourself. Just do it! You will feel amazing afterward, and the best way to build a habit is actually to do the work. Regularly. So schedule some time a few times a week. And stick with it. 
  • Find something you enjoy. If you’ve been trying weights at the gym, and aren’t loving it. Don’t quit. Find something else. Try yoga, pilates, running, exercise classes. Anything. Everything. The key is to find something you enjoy. 
  • Set goals and track progress in a visible manner. Writing things down and tracking them makes them real. Your evil inner (lazy) voice will hate this. But it works. 
  • Seek inspiration. A photo is worth a thousand words. Surround yourself with inspiration. Follow athletes who inspire you on Instagram. Cut out pictures from fitness magazines. Create an inspiration board and keep it in a visible place. 
  • Remind yourself why you want to live an active life. Think about how great you will feel when you hit your goals.
