The 1939 Cannes Film Festival never took place—despite this immaculate advertisement. Due to an, erm, tense situation in Europe (on September 1, Hitler decided to invade Poland), the show was indefinitely postponed, but Cannes re-scheduled it as soon as possible—in 1946. Reproducing an original painting by Jean Gabriel Domergue, this wood poster is intended for indoor use and comes complete with hangers. It’s ready to hang right out of the box.
ArteHouse is the largest publisher of vintage posters and has well over 4,000 images to choose from. This wood, vintage-style sign sports a matte finish.
