As The New Yorker’s first art editor, Rea Irvin (1881-1972) created a style that continues to define the publication to this day. He also illustrated 169 covers for the magazine. The Black And White Eustace Watch features Eustace Tilley, the smartly attired dandy created by Irvin for the cover of the very first New Yorker issue, which reappears on the anniversary issue every year since. The butterfly that often accompanies Tilley’s image is incorporated as the silver second hand, and the watchband is classic black with a gray stripe.

Watch face is approximately 1.25”.
