In 1983 Keith Haring created a marvel of line and movement in an untitled work that consisted of choreographer Bill T. Jones’ fully painted body. Billy takes Jones’s place, reprising Haring’s iconic style in this fantastic, perhaps poignant design originally created for an AIDS benefit auction. Shot by photographer Lynn Goldsmith, this digital print challenges conceptions of gender, sexuality, and its representation with the help of Billy, the first (let’s say openly) gay doll.

Digital print. Open edition. Unframed. 100% cotton rag paper.
