At first attributed to Marilyn Monroe’s well-known photographer Sam Shaw, the photo from this series was, in fact, photographed by Ed Feingersh over a four-day period in 1955—a time when Monroe was transitioning from blonde bombshell to producer and serious actress. A photo that belies Monroe’s dual personalities of celebrity and introvert, her larger-than-life smile carries a hint of knowing; she plays the viewer just as well as she plays the camera.
Framed top quality giclée print on Fuji Crystal Archive Paper. All prints are framed with exhibition quality, shatter-resistant Perspex and a handmade wood frame. Individually numbered on reverse with photographer name and story of the image. Edition of 495.
