This print is one in a series of screen printed reproductions of two-color illustrations created by Jim Flora for a 1954 alphabet book. A prolific commercial illustrator, Flora is best known for his playful and sometimes irreverent jazz and classical album covers dating from the 1940s and ‘50s. He also illustrated numerous children’s books.

Printed as part of a collaboration between Aesthetic Apparatus, the Jim Flora estate, author Irwin Chusid and archivist Barb Economon. Screen printed in dusty-pink and black on archival off-white stock.
