Barbara Fürstenhöfer Poole Plate

Mid Mod Mom founder Beatriz Macias didn't know thrifting existed until she moved stateside from her native Colombia when she and her husband furnished their West Coast apartment with Salvation Army finds. These days the former architect puts her discerning eye to use by rooting out mid-century wares and masterpieces each with its own distinct art-inspired flair. From vintage cookbooks and sectional sofas to a beautiful Pegasus mobile the inspired undertones and exotic flavor of her first-class finds can't be beat.

A beautiful collectable piece, this whimsical plate was designed by Barbara Fürstenhöfer for Poole of England. Titled Sinbad, the piece features imagery of the fictional sailor on a fantastical adventure involving a magical bird, Koi fish, and a ship at sea. This gently used vintage product is in very good condition with no damage, chips, or cracks. Bright and free of damage but for some fading to the gold leaf on the rim.
