Benjamin Franklin Bank

This Benjamin Franklin Bank was produced exclusively for the Philadelphia Museum of Art and is adapted from a marble bust sculpted in 1779 by the French artist Jean-Antoine Houdon. This delightful utilitarian display piece is made of cast marble—crushed marble bonded with polymer resins—and features a coin slot at the rear and a base that unscrews for easy coin removal.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art—in partnership with the city, the region, and art museums around the globe—seeks to extend the reach of the visual arts to an increasingly diverse audience as a source of delight, illumination, and lifelong learning.
