Beautiful pyrogen (match striker) from the literary center of the late 19th century: Paris. Home of the Club des Hydropathes. This gently used vintage product is in good condition. Shows some signs of age. Sometimes, this piece is wrongly attributed to Alexander Girard. Most likely, this may be the inspiration for his match striker for NYC restaurant La Fonda del Sol.
