Carafe And Glasses Set
This carafe and set of six glasses were designed by Willem Noyons. Deceptively simple in appearance, each crystal glass has proportions in accordance with a complicated measuring system developed by the Benedictine monk Dom Hans van der Laan. (Wait, you couldn't tell just by looking at them?) The crystal carafe, which holds one liter, was crafted by placing a glass shape atop a sphere, and it's roughly the same height as the designer's hand. (You already figured that out thirty seconds ago.) The beauty of these pieces comes from their pure proportions.
