Asportatio acroamatis is commonly referred to as the Cassette Tape. This species was first seen in the mid 1960s, but was not widespread until the 1970s. Similar to Repondecium antiquipotacium, it is thought that the compact disc lead to the decline in the Asportatio acroamatis population in the late 1990s. Asportatio has often been found in close proximity to Ambulephebus sonysymphonia, suggesting a close relationship between the two species. Hand-poured concrete looks and feels like a real stone fossil.
