Catrina Figurine II

Teterete is named after the Spanish word for the basilisk lizard a tiny reptile that's native to Mexico and often depicted in crafts from the region. The company celebrates the country's vibrant folk art with this collection of home accessories made by skilled local artisans. This one-of-a-kind paper-mâché figurine depicts La Calavera Catrina a skeleton created by illustrator Jose Guadalupe Posada that has since become an icon of the Day of the Dead festivities. It was made and painted entirely by hand.

The authentic Mexican arts and crafts from Teterete are mainly sourced from the regions of Oaxaca, Guerrero, Michoacán, and Chiapas.
