Fujita: Bruno Walter LP

You might not be able to really judge an album by its cover, but you sure can survey the cultural importance of LP design in this collection of framed LPs presented by New Documents. Providing the perfect canvas for artists and photographers the album cover became a forum for innovation in design where the consumer was deemed the final critic."Bruno Walter in Conversation With Arnold Michaelis LP, 1957, designed by S. Neil Fujita. Strong linear typography is atrademark of many Fujita designs, and this cover relies almost exclusively on its upright letterforms and a single heavy central rule line. The only foil for the geometry of the letters is a diminutive portrait of Walter in the upper right corner. Framed in a black LP frame and ready to hang. Good vintage condition. This item is being sold as a piece of graphic design; playability of the LP is not guaranteed.Country of Origin: US
