Georges Briard Dual Candy Dish
Ukrainian-born, Chicago-trained Georges Briard was known primarily for his dishware and glassware. This dual candy dish features two tapered, square glass bowls nestled in a brass holder with a wood handle. The dishes are decorated with gold leaf on their edges and bear intricate, patterned designs in gold leaf on each side. This piece dates to the 1960s, the middle of Briard's career, and is signed by the designer.
