Glaser Lotus Land Poster

New Documents has collected a wide range of objects created by one of America's most important design firms the wildly influential Push Pin Studios. Founded by Milton Glaser Seymour Chwast Reynold Ruffins and Ed Sorel in 1954—graduates all of New York's The Cooper Union—Push Pin designed posters such as Original Lotus Land Poster. Showing a chocolate-brown figure with a brightly colored bouquet of flowered hair this vintage poster was illustrated by Glaser and shows his fully mature style blending expressive lines with arresting surrealistic touches."Originally designed by Milton Glaser in 1967 as part of Issue 52 of The Push Pin Graphic, a seminal publication out of Push Pin Studios advertising the capabilities of the studio. Typical of Glaser and his cohort, Take a Trip To Lotus Land pulls together historical references with discordant illustration styles. In this case, a psychedelic visual illustrates an excerpt from Homer's Odyssey." Offset lithograph. This is a vintage poster and not a contemporary reprint. Ships rolled in a tube. This gently used vintage product is in good condition. Shows some signs of age. Small hole at top center and bottom right two tears at the lower margin and some small damage to the edges."Country of Origin: US
