Hydro Power Clock
Kikkerland's Hydro Power clock is run on water-activated batteries made by a powdered carbon capacitor. Sound like something Doc Brown dreamt up? The process is actually credited to Japanese inventor, Susumu Suzuki. Moisture (i.e., water) activates the carbon particles to produce the same amount of energy as normal metal batteries. The use of carbon, which is everywhere, instead of processed metal, which is hard to find, makes this alternative energy source cheaper, non-toxic and easier to produce.
