Jasba Shrink Glaze Vase
The German ceramic company, Jasba was established in 1926 by Jakob Schwaderlapp. Interested in the designs of other cultures Schwaderlapp sought to craft a company around the idea of local ceramic production and the use of raw materials mined from within Germany. The ethic stands to this very day as exemplified in this unusual vase. Coated with a black and white shrink glaze the surface of this otherwise simple design resembles a dry river bed."
