Kala 79\ Rug"
The Kala Rug is a collaboration between Nani Marquina and Care & Fair, an organization that fights illegal child labor in carpet production and builds schools. The design is the winning entry in a competition among Care & Fair pupils. A portion of the rug's proceeds will go to funding for a new Care & Fair school in India. The rug itself gets its name from the Hindi word kala, which translates in English as tomorrow and art. This vibrant colors and hand-tufted rug is as beautiful and life affirming as the cause it supports.
