Lagardo Tackett Fish Plate
Lagardo Tackett began his professional career as a design consultant for Macy's in the 1940s before going to war. Upon return he settled into the thriving ceramics scene in Southern California where he mentored such future masters as Rex Goode and John Follis. Seen in California's Case Study homes during the 1950s Tackett's work dubbed Architectural Pottery at the time became fanatically collectible both in America and Japan where his own dishware collections thrived. This fish plate is a testament to Tackett's restrained minimalism."
