Non-Temporary Plate 7.2\ Black"

With the Non-Temporary collection designer Hella Jongerius lends her touch to one of Royal Tichelaar Makkum's flagship lines—the majolica ceramics. Steeped in history this populist dishware was affordable to a large number of Dutch when they were first produced between 1700 and 1890 because they were cheaply glazed: transparent on the back or bottom with the more expensive white glaze reserved for the front or top of the piece. Jongerius bluntly references this glaze combo in her modern interpretation with a floral design uniting the two fields.
